Creating the Material Flow Artifact
Creating a material flow diagram is a critical first step in implementing a Track & Trace solution. Understanding the processes, equipment, material lots consumed and created, as well as touch points to other information systems will shape how we develop the production model, material classes and definitions, process segments and operations. The diagram below shows the material flow for a simple factory environment.
