Configure Tags

Configuring Tags

Create the following Tag folder structure . The paths are deliberately created to exactly match the Production Model, so the "{Equipment Path}" prefix can be used in scripting for the Equipment Path to simplify Tag handling (as well as being able to use the Copy Tag Path command in the Production Model when assigning tag paths).

Create Tag Folders

  • Create the following folder tree in Tags in the Tag Browser, to match the the Production Model items in New Enterprise:
    • Create a Site folder called Site.
    • Create an Area folder called Area.
    • Create a Line folder called Line 1.
    • In the Line 1 folder, create two Cell folders called Cell A and Cell B.

Create Tag

  • In the Line 1 folder, create the following Memory Tags as data type Float:
    • Torque Setting 1
    • Torque Setting 2
    • Zero Location
    • Vacuum Pressure Target

  • Save your Project.

Recipe Values

Tags can be used for recipe customization. To make your new Tags available to the Recipe module, let's assign them to Line 1 in the Production Model.

  • In Settings Manager, Click Line 1 > Recipe.

  • Hold the CTRL key down and click to select each of the four new Tags you created.

  • Drag them as a group into the Recipe Values section. Click OK (four times) to accept the default settings in the four Include Parents in Recipe Tag Name dialog boxes that appear sequentially
