Modeling the Manufacturing Process
The Sepasoft MES solution provides the ability to model all the equipment that is used in your manufacturing process. Equipment is divided into two categories and is configured differently:
- Supplemental Equipment - Mobile equipment that can be moved around such as bins, containers, die sets etc. is considered as Supplemental Equipment per the ISA-95 standard. The MES Object Editor and scripting functions can be used instead to create Supplemental Equipment.
- Fixed equipment - Equipment that is considered to be fixed in place that may be used for material storage and material processing is defined in the Production Model in the Designer. The information below discusses how to configure Fixed Equipment in the production model.
