Settings and Changeover Tutorial

The following Settings & Changeover Tutorial has two sections:

  • GUI-Driven Approach: This approach relies on the visual nature (the Graphical User Interface) of the MES and Ignition components.

  • Script-Driven Approach: This approach uses Python scripting to create and manage recipe execution without requiring GUI touch points.

Each section is independent and contains its own setup and configuration pages.

Get Set Up First!

Before proceeding, complete the Setting Up for Tutorials section to get Ignition and your database installed and configured.

Project File

  • Download the starting project file for the SET: Practical Tutorial by clicking here.

  • In Ignition Designer, import the .proj file:
