MES Counters can be created and maintained here (as well as via scripting). Click on Counters in the General section.
Create or Edit an MES Counter
To create a new MES Counter, click 
and complete the fields. Click 
to save the new MES Counter. For details on configuring MES Counter properties, refer to MES Counters.
When completed, the new MES Counter will become a new row in the list of existing MES Counters.
To edit an MES Counter, click 
for that counter and modify the fields as needed. Click to save the edits.
