Settings and Changeover Module

The Settings and Changeover module enables the configuration, storage, and tracking of machine set point recipes, supporting various data types such as strings, integers, and floats. Setpoint recipes can be managed at both the line and individual machine levels, ensuring all machines are coordinated or set individually as needed. You can create memory tags or use OPC tags from the PLC for set points, with metadata specifying engineering units for clarity in the recipe editor.

The Settings Editors (Tree and Table Views) allows for adding new recipes and managing existing ones, with options to load recipes to all machines or individual machines. The module includes security features to restrict recipe editing to authorized personnel only, enhancing control over manufacturing processes.

The system automatically tracks variances between live production values and recipe values providing records of any modifications made on the line. This data can be coordinated with other MES data such as OEE and downtime events. Variance tracking logs any discrepancies between the loaded recipe values and the actual values in the PLC. You can filter and search for variances easily, and the module provides validation to ensure recipes are loaded successfully to the PLC.

Enable Write Permission on Ignition Tags

Success You must enable write permissions in Ignition when writing tag values to remote tag-providers.
See: https://docs.inductiveautomation.com/docs/8.1/platform/security/service-security

The recipe module integrates with the Ignition reporting module, allowing you to view recipe information, including variances and set points pushed to equipment during specific processes.
